History of Arabic Literature

This volume has been authored by Prof. Clement Huart, one of the most distinguished Orientalists. The author traces the history of Arabic Literature from the period when it was in primitive form to the 19th Century. The topics that are analysed in this book include the origins of Arabic literature, the Quran, the growth of literature during the Omayyad and Abbasid Dynasties and uptill the nineteenth century.
