This book endeavours to present the most salient points in the eight centuries of Muslim rule in Spain in all her glory under the Moors. Without prejudice or extenuation and while not neglecting the heroic characters and legends which appeal to the imagination of the reader, the author seeks to give a clear picture of the struggle between races and creeds which formed the leading cause of political movement in medieval Spain.
