Good Characters

Good character is desired by everyone. All cultures strive to inculcate good manners whereby individuals could attain good characters. Good character also distinguishes the “civilized” from the “uncivilized” in groups and communities. In other words, the degree of “civilization” is dependent on the quality of the characters of the individuals making up a community-the greater the refinement of character the more highly developed that community will be. This is easily understood.
