Husbands and wife are not only a pair of human being but also a family, a tribe and a community. How to develop this community is a great burning and aching question but we thank Allah and His Messenger who gave us several indications in their sayings, that have been explained by the pious personalities of Islam. Keeping this in view, the great scholar Mohd. H. A. Majeed, compiled a guide book for the Urdu readers. Mufti A.H. Ilyas rendered it into English so that its benefit would be common for all. It’s a very useful and well versed book on the philosophy of marriage in Islam. Lack of religious knowledge and the company of the pious has caused great world degeneration in almost all the Muslims. Against this particular form of moral degeneration there was a desperate need of such a book that could provide to be a cure for the problem. It was thought that such a book should not only explore the causes of the problem but should also suggest remedies in the form of experiences and advice of the wise. This book was supposed to present clear guidelines for all to follow.
