What To Read Every Night – (English/Arabic) – (PB)

“FOREWORD

For every event and oCCasion Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam has taught his beloved Umm ah to read a Zikr or a certain Surah from the Quraan. There are many Duaas, Azkaar and Surahs of the Quraan that Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam has taught us to read between Maghrib and when we retire to bed.

In this kitaab, four such Surahs have been mentioned which Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam instructed his beloved Ummah to read between Maghrib and bed time. Read these four Surah every night, whether you be at home or on a journey. Read it yourself, and ask all your family members to do the same. The person who reads these four Surah every night will receive an abundance in reward. Among other things, he will, Inshaallah, be pardoned by Allah; receive a reward equal to reading the entire Quraan ten times; die as a shaheed (martyr); be protected from starvation and poverty, receive a reward equal to staying awake and making Ibaadah during the night of Laylatul-Qadr; and above all be protected from the Azaab of the Qabr (punishment of the grave) and the Aakhirah.

My most honourable and beloved reader, here Allah is giving us so much for so little. Therefore, let each one of us take this opportunity, rim ah and unparalleled blessing. Remember, it is only the unfortunate ones who will not take this opportunity. Let us learn to value and appreciate, and worship Allah to the best of our ability.

Learn to love Him, and if need be sacrifice everything for Him. That includes our pleasures, wealth and our life which is most dearest to us.

Surely sacrificing fifteen Minutes each day in reading these four Surahs; so as to gain Allah’s pleasure; is not asking for too much. It is here that we can test our sincerity, sacrifice and submission to Allah. For it is during this period (Maghrib and bedtime) that almost every person is engaged in seeking the pleasures of this world, his oaf’s, and following the dictates of his whims and fancies. Instead of seeking the mercies and pleasures of Allah, the Most High.

Beloved Reader, remember that death is inevitable, it is sure to come. Let us prepare for it by sincerely practising upon the teachings of Allah and His Rasul Sallallahu Alayhi Wassallam. Let us become practising Muslims from today, for we certainly do not know about tomorrow. No man knows where and when he will die. It is only a fool who leaves todays work for tomorrow. A true Muslim is very wise, far-sighted and judicious. He knows that tomorrow never comes, and that today is the tomorrow of-yesterday.

Beloved reader, let us prepare for the Qabr and the Aakhirah, let us do pious deeds whilst we are healthy and alive, let us be mindful of our Salaah and the other Faraaid. Every man will take only his pious and evil deeds with him to the grave and the Aakhirah.

Remember that every pious and sincere action is fruitful and very precious in the eyes of Allah. Without doubt, an effort and a sacrifice is required for the betterment of one’s Aakhirah. Mere ideas and notions are futile and fruitless, and will get one nowhere in the Aakhirah. It is only the gullible that live in a world of fantasy, resulting to regret and disaster.

It must be clearly understood that Jannah (Paradise) has a price tag. Its price is: Imaan in Allah and His beloved Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam; commission of pious deeds, and the omisssion of evil ones. Without Imaan in Allah there can be no Jannah and salvation.

My humble request to you, the honourable reader, is that he remembers me in his aCCepted duaas. Allah will surely reward him for his kind favour.
